Call for Virtual Assistive Technology Faire Participants

This virtual event - as yet unscheduled - will provide an opportunity for students and community members to get an up-close look at a variety of assistive technology devices and learn about available services.

Users of assistive technology products as well as small companies and agencies serving individuals with disabilities and older adults are encouraged to display, demonstrate, and discuss assistive technology devices.

Each vendor will have about 5 minutes of dedicated time on the Zoom session to hightlight their product or service. (Zoom connection information will be emailed prior to the event.)

How to Register

If you are a vendor of assistive technology products or supply assistive technology services and would like to participate, please contact me and submit the following information for the Faire webpage:

  • Name of the assistive technology device(s) or service(s)
  • A suitable photo or logo representing the device or service
  • Name of company or service provider along with webpage url
  • Name(s) of individual participating in the Faire
  • A short description of the device or service including what it is, what it does, who it benefits, and any special features.

On the Date of the Faire

  • Connect to the Zoom session by 4:30pm.
  • Be ready to answer questions about the device or service: the problem it addresses, who would benefit from its use, why the device or service is superior to other commercial products or services, specifics of the design/development process pursued for the device, and any marketing information.
  • Prepare to stay until 6:00pm.

Please note that this is meant to be an educational event rather than an opportunity for sales.
